Do Niger Triggers change colors?

I know as some wrasses get older their color becomes more vibrant. Will triggers like a Niger become more purple, or a Bluejaw, change their coloring slightly?

all fish can change color.it can be there mood or there diet or there sick.

does lighting have an effect at all? how would you bring out the most vibrant colors?

lighting can a little.i have seen niger's come in different shades.just feed him/her a varied of food and good clean water and it should be nice and colorful.

they can get a dull color or become more vibrant. Mine did. They also get red teeth

whats the best type of lighting to bring out color thats not too expensive?

Nigers do get better looking as they grow(also get meaner) as far as lighting goes IMO T5 HO is far and away the best lighting avalible

fish can be different colors according to their mood like if they were stressed out they would be dis colored if they were doing really good their colors would stick out and be vibrant

cool thanks. I get the T5 part of the lighting but whats HO. will any T5 do?

Nevermind high output haha. Right now I have a single strip T8. is there any specific type of bulb thats really good for it or it dosent really come close to the T5?
