Do Snowflake + Copper = OK

Before I add the snowflake eel that I hav had on order for so long, I need to know if it will live in a tank that has copper??? HELP

Dunno if I just had a really evil one, But my snowflake(8") ate my Panther Grouper(4") in the past. That's why I'm starting over...
