Do these Powder blue tangs generally get along with other fish?

Powder blue tangs tend to be generally a peaceful fish, in comparison to many other tangs and even other Acanthurus species. In the wild, large adults can be a bit aggressive, but they typically travel in large groups in the wild. Singularly in aquariums, I have never had any major issues with them as far as aggression. Most people usually have issues with Zebrasoma tangs (yellow, purple, sailfin, etc.) and the other Acanthurus tangs like clown tangs and sohol tangs. They do get fairly large though, and require a large tang because they are constant swimmers.

In my experience they aren't the hardiest of all tangs and can be quite aggresive twoards other tangs. They are also ich magnents. I would not make it my first tang in the tank because you may have trouble adding any others. They are extremely beutiful though.

They are just like any other fishy. Once they get a spot in the tank they call their own, they will chase others away. But in general, a good and beautiful fishy to have. And, they get along with other Tangs, many other Tangs.

My powder blue is the oldest fish in the mains I've got at 8 this year. They are tremendous fish to own, but require alot of swimming room - 100g min, excellent &varied diet of frozen, red&green Nori, and enriched mixes with selcon/vitamins.
The hardest thing is proper isolation/quarantine procedures for him and any new aditions you'd ever add to that tank....If keeping ANY Tang - one MUST keep excellent quarantine procedures for ALL new additions, and be able to put fish in Q tanks if one plans to add new things regularly. Ich kills more tangs in SWF stores and pet owners than any other disease/ailment.....
This fish will get to 8+ inches in the home aquarium and will outgrow any tank less than 100.
