I agree with YellowTail. Eddie's is a pretty good LFS. Gets a pretty wide variety of the things you mentioned and will special order just about anything you want.

There is a pretty good place in Fairmount (west side of syracuse) its called Fairmount Aquarium (its on milton ave near rt 173). They have quite a few fish, they have anemonies that always seem to look well, they have snails and other inverts and the owner of the place has an awesome coral display (definately worth checking out even if you dont buy anything).
There is also a place in Liverpool on E. Taft Rd but i dont remember the place. They have limited supplies but at least its not *****.
Finally, if you want to drive 30 miles to auburn, there is a place there that has lots and lots of livestock (fish, inverts, eels, not much liverock though). The only thing I dont like about this place is that their tanks look kinda dirty and the building is kinda run down. Oh and there is a beware of dog sign on the door (though I didnt ever see a dog) and it made the place look rather hill billy-ish.

I've been to PetPals on Taft Road every week for the last month and couldn't figure out why they weren't getting in new lifestock. Apparently, they are in the process of revamping their saltwater fish department. They have a nice coral room with live rock but its' not cured. They have two rows of saltwater fish but they are draining their tanks to add another row and hook up plumbing. Fairmont Aquarium on Milton Ave is nice too but you have to check everyweek as their selection varies but if they don't have something one week they usually have it the next week. Tropical Zone just opened in Oct. on Main Street (Route 11) in North Syracuse which is very nice also. They have cured live rock. They just got a new shipment in last week, various rocks and various prices. They're prices start at 7.50 pound (I think for Fiji). The Tropical Emporium in Auburn is digustingly dirty with dead fish in almost every tank and algae covering everything. PetExpress on Circle Drive in North Syracuse just relocated and will not have their saltwater tanks set up until Fall.
