Do you have to acclimate live sand?

I have a 150gl with 200# of sand I just ordered from swf 45# of live sand is there any special way to add it or I just pour small cups of sand over my 200 hermits and they will be able to crawl back to the surface?

just add,
but i would try to avoid burying anything that is live, the crab s will probably crawl out yes, but i would still kinda pour around them
