Do you name your fish?

Kind of my Sailfin is Sailor, the clowns are both Nemo of course and my Scooter Dragonette is Scooter. Oh and the three stripe damsel is Stripe *lol* Haven't gotten to the others yet.

Some I name, some my wife names. Actually the only one I ever named was my Naso Tang. His name is Johny Depp, because he reminds me of the actor.

Male Clown = nemo
Female Clown = steph
Coral Beauty Angel = mabeline (like the lipstick)
Cleaner Shrimp = Cedric (Code name the Cleaner)

Solar Wrasse-Tigger
Emerald Crab-Don't...again

The shrimp and hermits and snails remain nameless as of now. Though she will run to the tank and point at the crabs yelling crab, crab, crab so maybe thats their names.

there was this massive thread about this a couple of years ago....
but to answer the question, i dont name my fish. i just go by the common name....

I've only named a few of mine so far-actually my family has named them:
male clownfish-Nemo
female clownfish- Nemette
spotted boxfish-Gomer, he just kinda hangs out, like he's got nothin' to do
humu humu-Piglet, he eats like one
royal grama-Grandma Fish

My husband and I name all of our fish and inverts. When we first started out even the crabs and snails had names, but now there are just too many of them and no way to tell them apart (especially when they start shell hopping). But still, the starfish have names, the big snail, the cucumber, the clam....lol...everyone gets named by the time we get home with them.
