Do you think the stand will still hold the weight??

The stand for my 75 used to have a drawer in it. I ditched the drawer long ago. Now I want/need to put a bigger sump in. Problem is, all I can fit through the openings are too small.
Question: do ya'll think if I cut out the "T" in the front, will it weaken the stand? It doesn't look like it supports anything. I can make new doors to cover the whole opening.

I can't see that "T" having any structural role in the tank.

I didn't think so either. Just wondering also if a sawzall would cause too much vibration. We'll find out soon enough.
