I will be starting another reef tank soon and I was curious if anybody uses grounding probes in their sump? Do they really help?

Matt,
I use a grounding probe in my sump. I think it's a good idea any current running around through your tank could damage those little delicates you spend so much on. You should be able to relate. It's like you standing in a puddle and plugging in your 440 clothes dryer.

Yes I do and I have heard that it helps in the operation of the GFCI circuts as it helps them tip easier.

Yes and it has been a life saver. You learn quick when you do not know a piece of equipment is bad and you put your hands in the tank with out one. <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />
