Do your pets know when you are going away?

Well I need to leave to NYC for work for a week, And I get out my suitcase and begin to pack, My Kitty will not leave me alone, go into the bathroom, follows me, Lie down to get ready for bed kitty jumps on the bed right next to me. Most of the time she's usually ignoring me unless she wants to eat. I guess its the same effect when I get out the pet-carrier to go to the vet, I CAN'T FIND HER ANYHERE! Ah so I guess she really does love me. he he

My mini dashie gets so stressed when I leave him that he has had seizures. Now, instead of flying, I have to go somewhere I can drive and find hotels that will take my flaky dog. Yes, I am the idiot with the weird little weiner dog on my neck driving down the road.

My dog cries and sits by the door, by the car, or in the car. In the mornings when I go to ride my horse, she notices when I put my breeches on and starts barking at me until we leave. She loves going to the barn!

tobin gets admitted into the hospital and does his chemo there for about 6 days at a time, when his cat sees me packing his bag he gets all clingy on tobin and he is up my butt while he's gone, when tobin gets back baxter(cat) goes right back to ignoring me

My old dog never even flinched when I would leave for work. She would just lay on my bed and cuddle with HER babbies (our two sibling kitties). I left the suitcase laying out usually since I traveled so much, and who doesn't like taking cat hair with them on the road? When it got placed next to the door though she would stand in front of the door trying to block me from opening it.

my dog some how knows when he's going to be going with us and when he's not. we won't say a darn thing before leaving for the in-laws and he'll be going psycho because he know's he is going, but when we're leaving for work he just lays there. i think it's because they are creatures of habit, and know when something is different.
