They make an iodine dip starts with an "L" Lugals or something like that, for corals and the instructions are on the bottle. I didn’t t know it at the time, and killed my brain coral, never dip a brain.
Only soft corals is the way I understand it. After losing the brain I just never had the heart to dip anything. I take my chances.

Flower is talking about Lugols...close

I did all my SPS corals in Revive Coral Cleaner. IMO & IME this is the best dip I've ever used!!

wtf is that lol?
Just the most dreaded flat worm known to the SPS community!! The Acro Eating Flat Worm

It doesn't kill off the eggs, but it does kill the worms themselves. AEFW are in my opinion the worst pest an SPS reefer can get!!

You don't lol....it's a PITA and very tedious work to eradicate these little

!!
You can ask my neighbor about it....he's been fighting them for about 5 months now. Do a Google search....you'll see how much they suck.

I dip all sps in Lugols and do a visual inspection for eggs of any type. I dont bother dipping anything else. I'm only worried about sps (never once had zoa eating nudis or any lps pest and they are usually specific to what they survive on: zoa eating nudi's dont migrate to sps and so forth).

If you're buying SPS from AquaHut, you need to be dipping!!!!
I know right lol? That place is like disease ridden. Have you ever been to pets warehouse or country critters? They both have the best coral IMO, country critters has better quality and variety but its overpriced.
So for sps can I use the dip mentioned as well as lugols?

Or you can go to walmart and get about 20x the amount for a tenth of the price. I buy iodine at walmart and dip every coral I get for about 5 -10 minutes in the solution. Just mix it up so that is about the color of iced tea and you will be amazed at the crap that comes out of some corals.

So lugols for sps and softies just not brains? Use the other one too for all of them? What's revive?
Revive coral cleaner....if you google it, it will get you there. I use it on all my SPS. It says you can use it on softies and zoo's, but I never have...I don't like dipping soft corals.
