Does anyone have a fresh water tank? I am going to upgrade my 55 & am thinking of making it a fresh water. What do you think?

ive got a little 10 gallon fw tank, and I love it almost as much as my saltwater.
i've got 3 blue rams, 3 blue eyed rainbows, 2 clown loaches, 2 yoyo loaches and 2 kuhli loaches living in it right now, and lots of live plants. I just like the fact that you can have so many fish in such a small space, unlike saltwater.

Costs and maintainance time was killing me so I turned my 65 into a freshwater. SOOOOO much easier and cheaper to operate. There are alot of interesting fish for freshwater too, including my favorites, eels :)

Along with my new 50L reef.

We have a 20g freshwater tank and it has been nothing but problems. Just had another fish die out of the blue, eating great that night and then in the morning its dead. Have had green water problems so often that I don't use a light on the tank anymore. If the rest of the fish die it will become a saltwater tank since I've had so much better luck with them.

I had at least one fw tank all my life. I love them and I've got my son hooked (he's only 4) so he's had one in his room since he could sit up. Now that I've gotten back into the sw his is the only one we have. But it is a 30 gal and very pretty. I may change our 20 into a fw for my daughters room now that I have my 72.

I had 3 going at one time, now just a 10g. my 20 needs to be resealed and I just took my 29 down cause I only had 5 tetras left. I used my 37g for my Saltwater. Ill probably get them all going again after I move. My favorite fish was my red tail shark. Had him for 6 years. And my blue Lobster was cool too!
Jeepboy, what kind of bulb were you using?

I was just using NO bulbs that came with my 75g tank. Even without direct lighting on the tank, it still gets a green tinge to it every once in awhile.
