they grow to about 5 inches long and act just like any other lion. u can feed them silver sides, krill, mysis shrimp; krill would be the best. anything they can't fit inside their mouth they won't attack.good fish they can happilly live in a 20 gallon but i would put it in atleast a 29.

Great fish Murph, it does'nt bother your corals? Thinking about getting one. I have 2 mated clowns and a firefish in a 90 ga reef. Would this be a problem?

murph what kind of camera do you use
[/code]
i use a olympus D-545 ZOOM 4.0 Megapixel with 12X optical and digital zoom.... it was only like $200 it just took a while of trying to take pics and messing with the settings for close up shots like the micro mode.... but the lights on your tank help with the color alot
too believe me i took pleanty of no good pictures trying to get to the good ones but when u get a good one its worth the patience

it shouldnt
i would put the gobies in first then the lion last since he wont see them as food if u do it the other way around.... mine is about 3-4"s and has never bothered any of my smaller fish or inverts...

I have a Fuzzy Dwarf. I got him around last April. And he is maybe a little more than half full grown size. I bought him when he pretty small. They get up to 7". I have mine in a 38g. Will be going up to a 72g bowfront sometime next year. I feed him by hand mostly....freezed dried krill, frozen silversides, live brine shrimp, and he will sometimes take a gulp of the Emerald Entree that I put in for the other fish. His name is Rubble....

He's a gentle giant!!! lol
p.s. I have mine in the tank with 5 fish, in order of "seniority".....Maroon Clown, Decorated Goby, Atlantic Pygmy Angel, and a Valentini Puffer. Rubble doesnt bother any of the them, he was the 4th fish added, with the Puffer being the last added. He doesnt even look at the Goby.

Here's a pic of him in motion...I happened to look over and see him getting ready to book it back over to the other side of the tank so he could go down in his Batcave...

I want one, too :jumping:
What is the proper way to handle them when you get them home from the store (i.e. should I use a net?)? Are their fins poisonous? I just started a small tank and will not be ready for lionfish soon but I think I will get one when I get my big tank next April.
