Does anyone have a tidepool or jet stream system?

I recently upgraded my 55 gallon to a 75 gallon. I bought the complete jetstream set up with the tide pool under the tank. Does anyone else have this same set up, or use jsut the tide pool? I was looking for some feedback on to how well they work. I was kinda disappointed with mine. I thought I would get more surface movement, thus having to cut back on power heads. I also find that is really hard to balance the overflow with the pump. It seems like it is hard to keep a constant, even flow. I bought the whole thing as a "kit". It came all put together with a 950 mag pump. Any ideas or comments would be great. Thanks.

The Tidepool is basically a reduced-size verion of Marineland's MaRS unit filtration systems. And these systems work very well. I have yet to try the Tidepool, but wanting to very badly, as well as the new Bio-Pore Rocker systems. If you're running a Mag 9.5, you're likely getting too much return flow and not enough overflow. Have you tried to cut back the output of the Mag with a ball valve? Start it running full-speed, and very slowly turn the ball valve until it balances out. HTH
p.s. If you decide to do away with the Tidepool and are interested in selling, I may be interested in buying it from you so I can experiment with it first-hand, to be able to give well-educated advice to my customers. :)

i have the tide pool 2 and the overflow that go's with it and the mag 9.5 with a ball valve turned down all most 3/4 of the way at 4 feet of head
so far it works great.

I do have ball vales on the system they just seem really sticky. It seems like the littlest movement in them is a big change. I guess I just need to play around with them until I get it. Do you get a lot of water evaporation? The fist time I added water I had to reset to ball valves again....it started empting water out of the sump. I thought I would have just needed to add the water. I will get the hang of it.
