does anyone here use a Canon powershot S2iS?

i just got mine from canon's upgrade offer - my old s-50 broke and they basically upgraded me to this new camera for $250!
i got it yesterday and it is sweet!
i was wondering if someone that has the same or similar model can give me a pointer on how to take good macros...
i know there is the macro and super macro option (super i cant get to appear) and they only work at the widest camera angle...
also it seems when i zoom in i cant pull the focus back far enough for close up shots to be in focus....maybe im standing too close?

If its anything like my sony H2 then you can get close enough where you can get a clear shot. Then you should be able to edit that picture to zoom even more. For example i'll post 2 pics. What i mean is my camera is 12X optical zoom, then i think 6X digital. which means before i take the pic i can zoom 12 times. then after the pic i can zoom in 6 digital times, here ill show you.

that is the same picture the first one i took with the optical zoom, then i did a digital zoom 4 times to get t he second pic. Good luck hope this helps ya
