I'm by no means an ell guy but it looks like a mother in law eel to me. Seriously It looks like a reverse golden tail to me. But I don't know much about eels.

I am not sure about that. But if it is I got one hell of a deal for $10. The guy at pet land found it in the sump. He told me he did not know what it was and if I wanted it he would let it go for $10. I think the reverse Golden morays start out more yellow don't they??

Looks kind of like gymnothorax steindachneri AKA Steindachner's Moray according to Dr. Burgess. :happyfish

Looks just like my little "Freshwater" Eel, which is actually brackish/marine. I got him for $20...
How big is it? Mine's about 16", they are about the same as Snowflakes size-wise. At least the kind I got, if that is indeed what you got....

Here is the exact eel I am trying to figure out. I finally got the camera working. I am not sure myself if the original picture I posted is it or not. What do you guys think it is.

I had that same exact eel. It was sold to me as a Reticulated Moray. Mine was much fatter though, about 15" long.
