Does Anyone use a Tetra-tec filter?

Does Anyone out there use a Tetra-tec Pf150, Pf300, or Pf500?
I have just set a All glass 40 gallon long and I have a PF300 and was wondering anybody has used or knows whether the additional heater that goes into the filter is worth the money? It sounds like a good idea... a heater as it filters, but if it's a dumb idea, then I don't want to pay twice as much for something.
I need a heater, having a tank in the basement keeps it too cold.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

i have the pf300. i don't use it anymore, so, if you are interested, make an offer on the heater if you want it. I used it in a 30 gallon tank. it works great, and it's nice not having to look at a heater in the tank.
