Can't really tell from the pictures. I don't own a TLF Phosban reactor; I got mine from BRS. It's the same principle, though -- tank water is forced up through the media before it passes out through the effluent pipe. You should have a small powerhead or some sort of pump connected to the inlet pipe, right? If you get down and look at the media close up, you should see that it's tumbling GENTLY in the tube. Essentially, as long as the top surface of the media looks like it's on a slow boil, then you're good to go. If you don't see any movement in the media then you have problems.
