Does Sand Need To Fizz?????

i am looking into putting sand into my tank. i got this white play sand and did the vinager test on it. how much fizzing sould it be doing? what does it mean if it doesnt fizz, or just fizzes a little bit as the vinager is poured on it? is this sand ok to use

I also was looking in to sand. I went all over to get samples. Bad time of year to look for playsand in Illinois, but I found paver sand at Home depot - about $4.oo a bag.
It passed the fizz test real well, but might be dusty, rinse well. good luck!

no the type you want to use will fizz when added to vinager or vinager is dumped on it .

also yes if it should produce bubbles and supposably "fizz" in vinagar. This means the sand is made of good material. If other materials (mostly undesiarable) are included. It might not fix.

good advice if someone on here has p ed you off don't take it out on everyone. If you posted a ? and got no repleys try bumping it back up maybe no one saw it.
