Ok I'm still kinda torn between Tampa Bay Florida Aquacultured rock and the SWF premium fiji rock, I was looking at the pics of the fiji rock on this site and it looks great but will it actually look like that when I get it?
can some of you guys that have SWF fiji rock post some pics of your tanks

I just got my tanks set up and am waiting for the sand to settle down. Maybe by tomorow i can have some pics. It has 75lbs of fiji. 50 from swf.com.

Ya it looks pretty much the same. It doesn't have much purple though. Pretty much just that light green color.

I have some of the fiji rock from swf.com
I was pleased with the size of the rocks and the shapes. It does have purple and lots of critters survived the shipping.
Boy, it stank really bad......

I was just wondering since the pics have tons of growth to the point you can't even see the rock and I kinda doubted that they were that encrusted for that price.

No there definetly not completely covered but every rock has atleast a little bit.

has your tank cleared up enough to take a pic, I'd be interested to see how many pounds of rock you used in your 84gal since I'm going to be doing a 75 so they're similar sized, I'd like to see how it filled out your tank

Stank is not a good thing.

Actually, it can be a good thing if going in a new tank. It will be an instant start to a cycle. I would not add rock that has a foul smell to an established tank..

Nope not yet. I was told not to wash the sand out so it is still cloudy. Hopefully it will be clear enough by tomorow after i get back from school. I will post asap.

The first thing I added to the tank was southdown, 100lbs of it. Then I added the live sand from swf.com, 50lbs of it. Then came the 50lbs of live rock. It was stinky. I waited another day or so to test the water. The cycle had been jump started by the live rock and live sand. To be safe I added a frozen shrimp to the water.
A few months later, all is well. After cycle was completed I added the livestock a bit at a time.
I am glad the live rock was stinky........

blackclam- I live about 30 miles outside of SA. My tank got clear enough to take a pic so i tried to arrange the live rock and my tank is all cloudy again.

ross do you have a pic yet
another thing I found out cool is that Walt Smith who is the main supplier of Fiji has 3 grades of fiji rock: natural, premium, and ultra grade, then they have regular sized and show sizes
anyway I had previously thought swf.com fiji was kind of expensive but then I found out that swf sells the ultra grade while most other online sellers who sell walt smith fiji sell the premium grade so there's the cost difference

#2 This rock with white was buried in the substrate. I recently excavated it which is why you see the white. I actually really like that white beside the other vivid colors. :D
