Does this seem weird for my cycle

Here are my levels. I just have my LR in there.
But can I have Nitrite without Ammonia
Ammonia 0
Nitrite-0.25
Nitrate-80
PH 8.2
Sal-1.025
My Nitrates were well over 100 so there coming down but does this look right. Im not putting anything in till I get the nitrates lower.

Did your ammonia ever spike? I wouldn't worry so much about the nitrates. A water change will reduce them. It's the nitrites and ammonia that have to be 0.

Sure you can, the bacteria that converts ammonia into nitrites is different than the bacteria that converts nitrites to nitrates. During the cycling process its common to see levels rise and fall as these 2 bacteria multiply in different amounts and times, and start working for your filtration. It appears that your dont have enough nitratfing bacteria yet to convert all of your nitrites.
