I personally am an organ doner, I dont care if I have a herart in my chest when they cremate me, If I can save some one elses life great, I'm dead I dont need it.
but presumed consent is definatly a gross possible violation of ones will for their body. unless consent is given before hand there should be no reason to force donation, even if it will help save lives, there are too many religious grey areas. even a mans direct family may not know a relatives religious belief. I know my familuy doesnt. we dont discuss religion. all you can go by is a written or spoken will. if a man (read person, man or woman) wishes to be buried whole but never speaks of their desire to be buried unviolated, the presumed consent may violate his wishes.
I may not believe in most religions or beliefs (obviously) but I believe each has the inherent right to choose for themselves. if they dont wish to help save others after they die that is their choice (i dont agree but I dont have to). unless consent is given there should be no reason to violate their bodies after death. isnt dismemberment or violation of a corpse a crime?
it may be different if the entire human race was dying and the only way to continue the sp3ecies was through organ sharing after death, for survival of the species as a whole maybe, but by then there would be marshal law and rights wouldnt count for spit anyhow.
usually I avoid any thread of political leani9ng but this is more of a personal opinion thing rather than political.
