Doing a water change tomorrow

I have High Nitrates 100+ I want to do a water change tomm.. I have a 47 gal tank so would you do 30% water change 14 gal. Side note there is nothing in there yet just my live rock.
2nd if there is only live rock im my tank should I still wait 24 hrs to add my mix of water/salt I made

how old is the tank?? also i would do more like a 50% water change especially if its a new tank with no Live Stock in it yet.

Agreed. If your nitrates are that high you may end up killing of some of the microorganisms that you would like to save during what i quess is your curing cycle. Personally when I cure live rock I try to keep the nitrates at 40-50 or less to try to keep the 'good critter' die off to a minimum. IMO it is more important to bring the nitrates down a bit than to worry about using perfectly 'aged' saltwater.
