I just finished cycling my tank about two weeks ago... I had two blue damsels in the tank during it... I've tested my pH, nh3, nh4, and no2's also my kh and c02.. everything is good my nitrites are above .3 alittle but thats it... I can't see any white dots or parasites on the fish.. one died last week and now my second one is just sitting on the bottom hidding and only comes out when i put food in the tank... I wish i had a digital camera but i don't .... Is gills are red but thats all i can notice on him....
there's also nothing else in the tank w/ him... I'm currently using cc and a couple of dead rocks bought from the lfs..... I have ls and a cleanup crew on the way but there not due to come in till pry after wednesday.... i have two 402 powerheads in it w/ ugf... and an aquaclear 200 with activated carbon... all on a 29 gallon tank... not sure the watts on the heater but it keeps it at 79 degrees...
any questions.. I'm open if it looks like somethings wrong with my tank and i need to change it..

Ok.. so I shouldn't be to worried most likely just to much stress he went through... if he does die should i keep him in there for my inverts when I add them later this week?

yea it did ... i gotch now thankyou for the help... sorry I'm alittle slow as alot of people tell me... now that the tank is done should i throw another damsel in there just to make sure it was just stress from the cycle and nothing else.... before i would go into adding something expensive...

Well It happened my damsels past on... I went to the lfs and started talking with the lady there and she said I interupted my nitrite cycle thats what killed them all.... I was two months into the cycle and i though i was done but the following week my nitrites were reading between 1.6 and 33mg/l.. I got scared thought this was way to high so I vaccumed my coral and did a partial water change..... Brought it down to .3 mg/l and she said I killed the cycle...
Please help... what should I do now.. she said don't add any fish.. just keep putting food in every night.. is this right?? how long should i do this for?? Wouldn't two months be long enough for a cycle?? It was a 29 gallon tank...
Right now I'm keeping all my filters running and the heater on just incase someone else gives my some input....
I'm thinking I have to start all over or is what the lfs said correct?
