Knew you would!
I just got a Canon A60 and everytime I go to use it I have to change the batteries. I have only had it since the 27th and I have changed them 3 TIMES!!!!! I might use it for an hour at a time, and then blink, blink, blink. What do you think?

Olympus C-3020. Mine go for about 50 pics. Unless some idiot leaves it on for hours in between shots. :D

I just bought the A70 today and have took about 30 pictures or so and I still show full charge. Maybe a defect?

I've got rechargeables. very nice. Still, I leave it on all the time, and use it for a week without having to swap batteries. I can take over 150 pics, too. Dunno what your problem is. (Your camera's problem, that is!)

jjgomillion ... I work at an electronics store, and I know that the canons require a certain battery. I wish I could remember, but it's something like they can't take alkalin batteries. Check the manual and make sure you use the batteries they list. I could be wrong, but I know we got a special "note" about these because we were returning too many that people thought were "defective." HTH

Digital cameras eat batteries like candy. It is not unusual and it is not a defect in the camera.
You have to get yourself a good set of NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) Batteries and a good charger. Look for batteries that are at least 2000mah........the higher the number you can find...the longer the charge will last. Good luck.

Get rechargable batteries and a charger. Get two sets, that way you'll always have a set of charged batteries ready.

I got the thing a week ago, we're on our forth set of batteries. the first set came with the camera were dead the next day. I used TWO new sets the second day (naturally, I was taking a lot of pictures, but come on, batteries should at least give me time to fill my card up).
I put in a new set the other night, very expensive batteries. we'll see how long they last. These are rechargable and I have two sets.
I never changed batteries in my regular camera. Once a year I for for the hell of it (just in case).
edit...the rechargables just died! I put them in last night! I haven't even used it much. I need to figure out how to turn off the digital digital displace...at least Sinner claims that will save battery life.
