Don't make my mistake.

I thought that I was going to improve my tank conditions by installing a wave maker. I bought a Wavemaster Pro by Red Sea and hooked up all 4 of my Rio 1700's. I had everything all set up, turned on the wavemaster and heard this god awful noise.Everytime the pumps started they made like a grinding noise. Being stupid, I thought the noise would go away and left the pumps go til the next morning. Needless to say, I screwed up big time. I woke up and had a med Blue hippo, a med Yellow Tang, a med Bi-Color angel and a Bi-Color Blennie dead from being stressed out by the pumps.

Learned a valuable and expensive lesson. Hope that was the worst one to learn.

No. just did it when they started. Once they where running everything quieted down. In fact took the wavemaster back to lfs and am running pumps as is. All is quiet and new fish are being aclimated as we speak.

Have a 29 gl set up for that, will post pics in a couple of days. I realize its a small tank for QT but that was what we got in the begining.With only a couple of Damsels in tank, shouldn't take long in QT.

Once again I will pimp the Hydor Flo.
Install 1 at each end of the tank (on a pump/ph) and get you're waves( well kinda)

OMG, that is so horrible. Hope all goes well with the new guys. I have to second the hydor. We have one in each tank and they are awesome. They work on any size power head. The stronger the flow, the faster they go. Check 'em out and see what you think. Can't wait to see the pics TONIGHT!!!!
