Don't trust salt mix levels

Don't rely your salt mix to provide the proper balance of trace elements.
I spent months trying to get my parameters set before deciding to test my makeup water. Low and behold the parameters were not what my tank required. I ended up having to add calcium and magnesium to each batch of make up water. After that all was good.

I just did that also. Couldn't figure out why everything was so low. Ended up dosing 2Kg of Kent turbo calcium and a gallon of Mg over a 2 month period.
Will never buy Reef Crystals again.
