Not usually since LR with coral attached is sold as such and cost many times more.
If your lucky you may get a colony of polyps some other small inverts as hitchhickers.

Hey,
I agree with the other posts. Only if you're lucky. I have a sponge and a couple as of yet identified corals growing on my lr. It's been about 3 months since I put the lr in my tank. I've also gotten about a dozen feather dusters but they are very small.

While living in the islands, I collected some of my own live rock. There was no visable coral when I collected it but after a couple of months I hade coral polyps on the glass and some of the rocks. Unfortunatly I had to return to the States and I returned my catch to the sea.

Hey,
I don't have any pictures of a feather duster but they are real easy to identify. When real small you wont see a tube, just a circle of feather looking fronds. When spooked they very quickly retract into the tube. When they get a little bigger, as some of mine have, you will begin to see a narrow tube sticking out of the rock with the dusters, or "head", at the end. HTH.
