a little, but it also has other stuff in it. I use it, but not very often. You need steady calcium levels to get coralline. Somewhere in the 500+. I try to keep mine at 530ish but that is achieved more through good salt and lots of water changes, I hate to add stuff all the time and have to re-test over and over...

do you have a test for calcium? if not, do not add anything if you dont have a test for it. Best solution is to buy reef salt or coral pro salt which ususally has a bit higher calcium levels in it if you are trying to keep sps or any hard corals. The only reason i keep tabs on my calcium is my coralline algae, my triggers dont chew where i have the coralline.
