I just aquirred reef lighting and I think my old lights are better so I was wondering if I can keep the lights that shine on my anemone Reef lights and the bulb for the other half of my tank regular 16w lighting. I DO NOT THE SLIGHTEST CARE HOW IT WILL LOOK i JUST WANT IT TO KEEP MY ANEMONE ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its additional lighting to what you have now, right? So it will benefit. The TYPE of bulbs you use are important and the Lumens rather than wattage tells you more about your light impact.
The carpet anemone has the highest lighting requirements. Most of the others do fine under compact fluorescents which is what I have on mine. Plus you can supplement feed your anemone with shrimp, krill or whatever soaked in Zoecon

You're going to have to be A LOT more specific. I have "reef lighting" doesn't help, as people use PC, VHO, halides, and T5 for reefs.
A standard 16w fluorescent bulb will NOT support an anemone. If you want long-term success with an anemone you want HO-T5 or halides.
