Double the Protein Skimming

I am currently using a Southbay CS6-1 skimmer and am not sure if I like it. I used the Red Sea Prizm skimmer on my last tank, and I loved it. Would it be harmful to use two (2) skimmers on a FOWLR tank, for maximum waste removal? What do you think?

no, but if you go to a reef tank than that is a different story - if one pr both of the skimmers quit producing waster- then you might just want to run one of them - b/c 2 would just waste energy

I have been using the Southbay CS6-1 for about 3 months now. So far I have noticed, it doesn't seem to produce as much waste as my Prizm did. The connection from the pump to the skimmer isn't 100% sealed which allows water filled with air bubbles to escape and into my return pump, which fills my aquarium with little bubbles. It still produces waste, don't ge me wrong. I just feel like if I were to use both, maybe I could maximize the amount of waste I pull out of my tank.

i use that cpr bakpak skimmer and it's really worth the money in my opinion. I have heard a lot about the prism, is it any good.? Just wondering for a future refrence. My cpr was not collecting a lot of waste a while ago till i throughly cleaned it. Now i clean the collection cup everyday, it removes sooooo much!
