Yeah thats right I am looking at down sizing my tank. I currently have a 75 gallon. I want to down size because I will be going off to college next fall. I love my fish and want to get a smaller system that I could take to school with me. What I was thinking was a 30gal with 10gal sump and 10gal fuge. And usuing all my live rock and other equipment from the 75gal.
My question though is if i used this set up (30 with 2 10's) would I be able to keep all my fish. Currently 2 false perc's, Flame Angel, and diamond sleeper goby? I would love to be able to do this but I am not sure about the Flame Angel? I just got him and love him. He is by far my favorite fish!
Thanks for you help!

Do you know the adult size of your fish?
I think the rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per 5 gallon of water.

IMO the flame might be, just might be a little tight in a 30g. With all the rockwork and sandbed, you don't actually really have 30g of water left. I guess it would be fine if his tankmates aren't gonna be aggressive at all. He should be fine if you make him the king in the tank.

...not to mention the logistics of caring for the tank during breaks. I don't mean to be discouraging, but I kept a 29g FW tank in my dorm room one year during college and it was very difficult to care for; especially because the school would turn off power to the dorms at each break. This pretty much forced me to set up another tank at home where I could keep the fish during the break.
