I just got 12 clams and put them in some tank water and then after they opened a little i put them in my tank. They went back in the shell but are slowely opening. Will the eel just wait till they open to eat them or will he open them up. Should i open them for him? I also tried to give hime raw shrimp and he wouldnt eat it. I still havent seen him eat a thing since i got him. He looks healthy and hes huge so he must have been eating. Should i be concerned? Thanks

I wouldnt put 12 clams in the tank, all at one time.
Also, the Morays mouth isnt designed to open clams, so you're going to need to open them for him.
Dont be concerned about it not eating...they can go months without eating and be perfectly fine.
