Another question. what do dragon gobies eat. I have had one and he is getting very skiny. He doesn't even sift through the gravel anymore. I have never seen him eat one thing. What do I do?

Dragon Gobies, Mandarins, Dragonets-whatever you call them should not be kept by inexperience aquarists or in anything other than a large established tank with tons of live rock!
They live on the pods found on live rock. They will eat LIVE Brine and LIVE worms, but these need to be carefully fed. Fish stores should NOT sell these poor fish to anyone unless they know they will be able to feed them.
There is an earlier thread today concerning this same thing if you want to check for more info, but unless you can provide your fish with live food ASAP (which he may already be too far gone to eat) you might as well kiss him goodbye-Do you have a friend with a large reef tank who could take him for a while-or someone with a refugium?

I have a dragon goby. It eats mysis, brine, and even flake. My dragon goby is in a 46 gallon tank with 45 pound of live rock all he does is sift sand all day. I have seen him eat all the foods mentioned above. You could always try soaking food in garlic, it always entices the fish to eat and helps their immune systems. Good luck
I think that Granny might be confused, the dragon goby is not like the mandarin dragonette. People have told me that mandrins need high pod populations to live, and i know they do, but with the dragon goby i think its different. The diamond goby does the same thing as the dragon goby does, i do believe that they might need some pod population but they are more willing to except frozen foods in comparison to the mandrins. I hope i helped
heres a pic of the dragon goby, i love mine :happyfish
