Dragon Wrasse question

Hey,
Last night, we put ajuvenile Dragon Wrasse into our 75 gallon fish only tank. It swam around for a while then dove behind some rocks and we believe it buried itself in the sand layer. We have not seen it since. The tank lid is secure so we know it is in there somewhere. Is this typical behavior and when can we have hopes of seeing it again?

dont stress mate thats the typical wrasse behaivor
i had them up 2 days under the gravel, until it gets use to the new enviroment i found that having the lights off for a few hours helps , but dont worry when hes hungry he come out! they never fail at meal time!!!!!!!:jumping:

Thanks for the info Rickstar---we appreciate it. BTW did the Wrasse become aggressive when it became an adult. that is what we have read online. Which fish will he get along with and which will he not?

i run a 55 and the stock in it is as follows:
2 wrasses, 1 trigger(picasso) 1 large black damsel, 2 clowns, 2 blue damsels and i tusk
so far no problem. rick.

Hello,
I have had my dragon for 3 years and really is not a problem. He moves all the shells and small rocks around and will chase a fish on occasion, but has really not done any harm. he has eaten all my snails and crabs. I think that is my biggest complaint about him. Also he digs underneath all the LR, so make sure you have it all the way to bottom of the tank, otherwise your rocks will tumble.

Our Wrasse has only come up from the sand once that we have seen. He is still a juvenile and likes to hide in the sand. We hope he comes out at night to feed.
If your wrasse eats all of your snails and crabs how do you keep the tank clean? I wonder if all wrasse's do that?
We will watch the live rock.

UV sterilizer. THere are Reef Safe Wrasses but a Dragon is definately NOT.

Like mentioned above UV Sterlizer, most of my crabs only come out when the dragon is sleeping. Here is a picture from last night, kinda blurry, he never stoppes moving.
