dragonface pipefish

hello i bought a dragonface pipefish about 2 weeks ago and he is doing fine eating copepods out of my live rock but someone on this these boards said that eventually they will be all gone and he will need to be put in a refugium and fed copepods. the LFS said they were doing just fine on mysis, but mine hasn't touched the mysis i have given it. any advice?

Dragonface pipes don't really have a large enough snout for regular mysis. Try mini-mysis and see if he'll take that. I warn you, though - as all dragonface pipefish are wild-caught, they may not take frozen very quickly. I had one that started out taking frozen cyclopeeze, but he eventually stopped eating the frozen all together and he didn't live long afterward. Another option you could try is live baby brine shrimp.
