Drain from tank to sump causeing bubbles.

Newly setup 90 with a 26 gallon sump. as of now, the drain comes off the tank => ball valve => 45 => 45 => then a 90 that goes into the sump. Here are pictures of what I have.
This is the first thing I tried, it makes LOTS of noise, and micro bubbles from the splashing.

This is silent, but also creates alot of bubbles, maybe even more than the first design.

Whats the best way to do this? I thought about maybe doing something like an upside down duroso, a U tube type of thing? Any ideas?

I have the same problem with my 125 I think it because My pipes are larger than my bulkheads and Im sucking in air at one of the connections like a 45 or your ball valve. I assume you have the tank hardpiped?

Ive done this, but thats not the issue, the issue is the way that the tank drains into the sump. Whats the best way to make a drain?

Another alternative is to put a filter sock on the return. That should cut down your bubbles flowing through your sump quite a bit.
