I just got my new tank setup last night and my drain line going to my sump is really loud. It is a 75 gallon RR tank with a 1" drain line going down 2' to my sump. I plumbed it up so that the drain line goes straight down with (2) 90's coming back up about 1" below the water level in the sump. And all I hear is a loud gurgling noise. Are there any ways I can plumb it so it is a little quieter? Heres a pic:

I believe it's a durso. It's the one that came with the AGA megaflow overflow kit.

I was getting alot of noise from my over flow and all I had to do was adjust the level so a steady flow was in the drain on the over flow.

from what I gather you had the same problem as me, you have straight pvc piple coming down to your sump, it will make loud gargling noises or mine did. You need a flexible pipe, you can get them at any hardware store, its 1in also and your overflow kit comes with the attatchment to hook the pipe up to and it will elimnate the loud noises you hear.
