Drilled aquariums??

This is gonna come across as a dumb q, but I have no idea what a drilled aquarium is. Obivously it is an aquarium with holes drilled in it but what for, and where at? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

it has 2 holes drilled in the corner useally with a baffle that is water tight for a overflow kinda like a piece of glass from top to bottom with slots drilled in it to spill water in corner were it drains in one hole to sump the other hole is for water pumped up therefor u do not need tubes and hoses hanging on tank for a sump
