Im sure every one knows this but for years I have been using the knot method when I drip acclimate well a much better way is to attach a small plastic air valve to the end of the hose that goes into your holding container while your acclimate you can fine tune the drip it works great

i use somthing simalar, but i put the manifold on the tank and then a line into thetank and the other to the acc.

Florida Joe- I don't know if this is what you were referring to but it has worked very well for me. This is what I use. Plastic hose push in style shut-off (ball valve). Close it off a little until you get the number or speed of drips you are looking for. For those of you w/ RO/DI units, this probably looks familiar. HD has them in their plumbing section.

I've been using an IV drip line from my local hospital. it has some kind of little valve that squeezes the tube closed to adjust the drip rate. Seems to work fine and it was free.
