does anyone have any suggestions for what to do about a dripping bulkhead.. the tank is a 125 and it seems to be right around the seals that go into the bottom of the tank is where the leak is. It isnt dripping out of control but we most certainly dont want to wait and it turn into a big problem. I have searched the forums but cant find anything that outlines what we should do in terms of fixing the seal, disassembling the tank to redo the seals is a last bit resort at this time, is there a plumbers caulk that would work?

Is this a 125g reef ready tank? I mean... does it have overflow boxes?
If the bulkheads are in an overflow box, you can probably drain down the overflow boxes without draining the tank. Simply snake a wet/dry vac's hose down into the overflow box and remove the water, then use a towel on a stick or something to reach down and dry the bottom of the box out once you've removed the bulkheads.
I've found that squirting a bit of aquarium-safe silicon on your fingers and spreading it all over the gasket of the bulkhead, then reinstalling snugly will form a seal that'll never leak. That'd be what I do.

You did install the seals on the wet side originally correct???
SCSI has the fix after that!!!

it is exactly as you explained with two over flow boxes, one in each corner... we did drain down that side tonight to check it while we did the water change and it seemed fine it also hadnt leaked at all last night through this evening im thinking the salt that dried formed a sort of a bandaid, we refilled it and it started dripping again, not a lot at all, very little. Were going to see at what rate its leaking and try to do it the way you suggested, it hadnt been leaking prior i think i bumped the pipes while cleaning around the pvcs last night which i thought started the drips. We didnt do the original install of the tank and im not sure what the guy did that installed it.
Thanks you two!!
