I just got a small frag of Hammer yesterday. my tanks params. are fine as far as what i see:
temp: 76-79
sal.-1.023
amm.-0
nitrate-.2ppm
It seems to be very droopy, the "tentacles" are.
What could it be?

salinitys kind of low, probably not enough to make that much of a dent though, what kind of lighting are you using? also, since you just added it, it might just take a few days for it to perk up.

40w isnt enough for probably... anything. if you cant afford MHs you should probably at least invest in some PCs

I'd agree that 40W is definitely not enough to keep a hammer. Most likely it is drooping from shock acclimating if you just got it, but again, 40W is not going to be enough light to keep it healthy. I've got mine under 324W of T5's...
