dry live rock

im moving to Japan in 3 months. Takeing the tank and equipment. But what about my live rock? can i let it dry up,pack it up and recure it when i arrive?

Sure, but you wouldn't have all the pods, bristel worms, and whatever else was on it before.

you can, but once its dried out lr just becomes "dead" rock. the dead rock will become lr again, but it will take some time. if possible you can wrap it up in wet paper towels and put into a ziploc bags. this might help keep some of the critters alive, but its a long shoot.

dont think the towel thing will work. All my household stuff will be on a boat for about a month. Which includes the LR.
