DSB-who runs em'?

About four months ago i installed my 40g sump/fuge with chaeto, lr rubble and a 5-6' dsb but now i am learning that maybe i shouldn't have
..I read in one of neptunes threads that they can cough back up the toxins they absorb,an when i went to the lfs a while back the owner told me there pretty much a thing of the past, so who how many people have them?.Love it, hate it?what are your thoughts

I have one hooked up to my system. I used to have Nitrates always around 10-20. After installing one my Nirates are 0 now. Its been like that for about a year now.

yeah thats the way it was with me too, trates were a constant 20ppm until i added the sump/fuge then they dropped to 0.are you using any sand sifters or anything in there??
