I saw a post that said something about DSB. What exactly does it stand for? I know it has something to do with the substrate.

i've had my DSB for about 3 months now (thats when i moved and changed my tank around). i am getting these bubbles that are forming against the glass in the top 1" of sand. i've tried stirring it away with my magnet glass cleaner, but returns. i've left it alone now. is this some sort of dinitrification?
HMMM...

It is either last bit of air working out, sometimes it takes a while before all the air is gone.
Or ir may be denitrification, yes. This case is normal and a good sign, BUT in either case do not worry about stirring it.
