Dumb waterchange question...?

How long can corals live out of the water. I have a bunch of pieces at the top of my tank and it is a real pain to move them from there home to lower in the tank during a water change. I have a 155 and usually change 30 gallons. Anybody know an easier way? Thanx

how about spreading the rock out more. make it lower in the tank?

They'll do fine out of water for the 15-20 minutes the water change might take.
