Ok, everyone has given/ received a hug... right? well how do you think it would be to have a rule of no hugging anyone at your school? welcome to my school.
. Here is how my general day goes....
I wake up
go to school
hug haley, tezzy, megan, and kristen
go to first hour
hug haley maddy megan and kristen
go to second hour.... yada yada.
then after school I go to my friend megan, and we hug... kinda close lol.
the first time I get caught doing anything P.D.A related, its kissing megan. what are the odds? I get lunch detention, for something that shows AFFECTION! yet, I never get in fights, and I stand up for people who get picked on.... like I said, what are the odds...

Maybe your school officials think that a child kissing another child in school is inappropriate. Sounds to me like you consider yourself quite the lady's man. My guess is that your affection may really just be a young, hormonal teenage boy copping a feel or two. Or at least maybe its perceived that way. Possibly if you didn't grope these girls every hour on the hour then the school wouldn't be so worried about a lawsuit from an angry father when something inappropriate happens. Just a possiblity...

yeah, except I respect my friends more than to do something "really inapropriate". and they are friendly, 2 second hugs not a grabfest. lol. And they are like some of my best friends, not objects to me, but I can see how kissing is seen negativley, but hugging?

As long as you're not playing "tongue hockey and touchy feely" on school grounds. I see nothing wrong with a hug or a kiss(peck type), when age appropriate. What's next no laughing allowed at school?

actually, a friend of mine got sent into the hall for laughing... but he had it coming lol. And keep in mind I did say kiss, not make out. but whatever I'm kinda over it now. and lunch in a quiet room with the possibility to catch up on work sounds fine to me

Are your friendships so insecure that you can only validate them by hugging each other several times a day? Just curious. Personally, I think it's a reasonable rule. Public displays of affection among adolescents, are, IMO, not appropriate in a school setting. We used to get reprimanded for holding hands in the hallways, and no one hugged. I see this at my son's school every day. Kids walking up to and hugging almost every other kid they see. The long and short of it is the school has the right to enforce the rule, so you kids will have to settle for a wave and a "how's it going".

not trying to be a me whore (brian reagan joke) but i can top that. My friends nate and chelsea are going out. They park across the street and after school the leave school ground to across the street. They stat making out. A parent sees this and complains to the office. The kids are both given detention and werent allowed to see eachother for like a month at school. Yes it is a christian school but it was off campus

I was born and raised in Miami and that's the common way to greet the opposite s ex (after the whole girls are icky stage
), a hug and cheek/air kiss. Many kids had girlfriends/etc in high school etc, heck my parents met in high school. I see no point in baning hugs, a sign of affection. If kids are inappropriate, bring the down the hammer.

Hugging is a gateway drug.
One day you're simply greeting a friend..
The next day you're greeting a friend again
...But only to grab the wallet out of their back pocket, because hey, heroin ain't cheap.

I agree to have it written seems silly as there's a lot of other things that need attention.
However, I don't feel the need to hug every woman I work with. A simple "hello" is more appropriate.
