Duncan Coral Question

I got some new Duncan Coral to add to my 14 gallon nano about three weeks ago. It took about three or four days for it to finally open up; but when it did it only opened up about 50-75% (estimation). I've been observing it over the last few days and I noticed something . . . while the lights are on during the day it is still only 50-75% open, but at night, about 30 minutes after the lights turn off and the moon LEDs come on, it completely opens up and stays that way until the lights come back on. I'm no expert so I don't dare guess at why this is occurring, but I'm just wondering if anyone that is familiar with this type of coral can tell me why. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

It's hungry. Try feeding it some mysis shrimp, start with at night, and then move to the day. I've noticed that if you feed them during the day, they're more likely to stay open. They react very much like a non-photosynthetic coral sometimes.
