for the past 2 days my duncans polyps havn't been extended during the day but come out at night. I noticed tissue recession and did a water change yesterday, and fed it. I got out all the problems that could have been messing with it. I'm wondering if I should did it in Iodine or just let the coral be, and see what happens?

pH - 8.0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0
Ammonia - 0
KH - 8
Phosphate - 0
My pH was 8.4 the other day when I first put the coral in, would that maybe have something to do with it?

if its not opening during the day but opening at night I would say the lighting is probably too bright, and its staying closed to protect itself from "sunburn" try shading it a bit and see if that causes it to open during the day.

I have a 150 watt metal halide with a Phoenix 14k, and a 35 watt PC sunpaq actinic. I have it on the bottom in the sand. I also saw some slime comming off of it, I don't know if it was from one of those worms that let out the sticky web though.
