I have two different duncans and somedays the tenacles are long or short
I think it just depends on flow and such.

Yes, they will expand more in very low current. I just got a new koralia 4 for the other side of the tank, and they are much smaller. They do adjust though, so give it more time. If you see the current actually blowing the tentacles, then move them or the powerhead. They do best in indirect current.
