DURSO problem

i rigged up a durso standpipe for my 180. it's drilled in the corners and whatnot. the first side i have no problem with, but when i install the piping on the other side, there's not enough flow out to the sump to accommodate the inflow of the pump. i'm using 3/4'' pvc for the durso. any suggestions?

try adding some water. you overflow is holding more water than before, so you need to rais the amount you now have in the tank.

What size are your bulkheads for the overflows? You probably need to use larger diameter pipe and fittings. My 128 has 1" bulkheads, and I used 1 1/4" for the standpipes.

As Jond said, If I remember right, the size of the pipe has to be larger than the bulkhead as mentioned. I used 1 1/4 inch PVC for my 1 inch bulkhead also.

thanks for the info folks. i put in 1.5'' pvc for the durso and it solved the problem. my bulkhead fittings are 1''. the 1.5'' is a tight fit in the overflow, but it works great! thanks again.
